Wow – what a wonderful early Christmas gift! Early this morning (about midnight), Kay’s water broke. She wasn’t completely sure if that was what happened, though, so we went in to see the doctor at about 9 am. She examined Kay and then said, “Well, you’re having a baby today. You better go on over to Labor and Delivery and get checked in.”
Needless to say, we were both a little stunned. We rushed to find friends to take care of Oliver, packed a bag for Kay, and went back to the hospital. Kay was amazing! Our doctor even turned to her after the baby was born and said, “I wish every patient could be like you. You make my job easy. You just need to have more kids.” Our baby girl is beautiful, and both Mom and Baby are doing well.
We’re still finalizing a name, so we’ll let you know when we decide for sure. Our baby girl was born at about 4:45 PM, weighed 7 pounds 2 ounces, and was 19 inches long. Please check out the new photos we posted of her!
Hey, I just happened to check out your blog tonight– and wow– you guys had a baby today!! I’m so glad that all went well, what a nice Christmas gift. She’s precious.
She’s beautiful!! Congratulations. We’re glad she’s here safe and sound and all are doing well. We look forward to seeing more pictures.
She’s adorable! I was tempted to jump on a bus or train to come up there yesterday when mom called me, but decided I better not since I’m flying home early Friday morning and don’t really have any extra vacation days. I will come and visit for sure in January though. Good luck with everything and just think of the extra tax deductions you can get now!
Congratulations! That is so exciting. Now Lucas has a cousin that is only 5 months and two days younger than he is. Hopefully he gets to spend some time with her when he gets older! I’m glad everything went okay, though. Good luck with everything
Congrats Kay and Jason! Sounds like an adventure. I loved the doctor told you to have more kids 🙂 Looking forward to hearing and seeing more about your new baby!
