Oliver, in his own way, started school last week. First he rode the bus for the better part of an hour. A trip made all the better with the fact that he was the sole driver with (count ’em) TWO steering wheels! Buckets of fun. And I’m afraid Jason was sweating buckets in that sun. It was hot.
Oli’s chosen major turned out to be RAINBOW DOLPHIN RIDING!! Don’t be fooled by his short legs that don’t reach the stirrups. He rocks away like a pro.
This is a picture of the park we were at. It’s called Cemyjontri, it’s free, it’s HUGE, and it ranks pretty high on Oliver’s list of cool places. It has a walk through maze and a giant swing shaped like a ship and kazillions of steering wheels everywhere. I like it, but it’s a little far to drive (15 min) and when it’s nice out, it’s pretty crowded.
For a place that’s not super excited about kids you sure have a neat playground! We’ve got nothing like that here and belive me, I’ve looked. The best we can do is the children’s museum and we have to pay for parking and admission.
WOW, that’s an amazing play ground!
I don’t think any of us are going to feel that a 15 minutes is “a little far to drive” for a free park like that.
Are you making a good list for our visit in October?
Oh, you bet we’ll have a good list! Sue is very right…I’m lucky to have ANY place free of charge to hang out with Oliver. But I want to add about the drive that the first 3 times I went there it took and hour round trip in the car because one wrong turn gets me (especially me) into trouble real fast. I am getting a lot better though at being lost. There’s no panic anymore, just lots of snacks stashed in the car for Oliver while I look for the right signs to follow. I miss Utah’s regular freeway exits where you can turn around and square blocks with 2 way streets. I am wiz at finding spots to park (even free ones) by the monuments/mall now too.
