Winter Stuff …

… that I forgot to post before.

These are great photos of our snowman and elephant in the backyard and Nabby with a cold. The snow from this particular storm was so deep and so warm (warm for snow I mean) that it was a blast to play in. You can see from the elephant trunk how sticky it was. We had a great time. I hope it’s like this next year- though I hear this was a really mild winter (temp wise) for Ann Arbor. Click on them for captions.

Grandma’s here!

Or Grandma WAS here that is. Oliver and Nabby (and their parents too) were in heaven for a week last March when Kendal, Grandma and Grandpa Kotter flew into town.

We had SO much fun. Thanks a million times Grandma and Grandpa for such a great spring break! We love and miss you!

Happy Easter

This year Easter was wonderful even with Oliver throwing up Friday night three times. He’s doing better and my cold is almost gone too. Yeah!
Conference was fantastic and we feel deeply blessed for the advice and instruction from our prophet and apostles. I really enjoyed Sister Beck’s Saturday talk.
We colored eggs and hid them in the back yard for Oliver to hunt Saturday. That was uber cute. Nabby ate like an elephant all weekend. That doesn’t have much to do with easter except that we had a lot of good food in the house for the holiday. She ate everything from cabbage to roast beef, to carrot cake and she’s still getting four cups of whole milk a day. Maybe she’ll catch up to Holly one of these days.
There are captions for the photos when you click on them.

Better late than never. Here are some photos of our February holidays. (click on one to see them bigger)

Abby meets a sock puppet

Three hours and a whole roll of duck tape later… ?I am pleased to present the

puppet stage!

All that keeps it from falling flat is six diaper boxes, but the kids love it

Here’s Abby and I with a pair of her old socks. Mine is trying to talk to hers.

A polar bear Oliver made at library story time shows up to eat the tiny pink socks.

Abby did get the hang of it in the end and said lots of nice “nah nahs” with hers.

Nabby’s Before and After

So today Nabby woke up looking like this.

But . . .

after a fine breakfast of pop-eye pancake she brightened right up!

And if that isn’t a happy child?with a runny nose and syrup in her hair I don’t know what is!

And yep, that’s a five crowns card she’s stuffing into the toy cd player. ?She always has good ideas.

Other highlights that morning included more of Nabby’s good ideas.

Oliver talking on the phone

(there’s no battery in it)

Oliver asking me what exactly I’m taking a photo of. Hah. Kids.

And other cuteness.

Once there was a snowman

But not today. Oliver and I tried to make a snowman, but the snow just wasn’t cooperating. So instead, we made mini snowmen and then Oliver tipped them over. It was a lot of fun!

Who needs Pottery Barn, anyway?

I’m so blessed to be married to an artist!
